50 Lessons Life Taught Me – A very interesting read

Its my father’s 5th death anniversary and even though it seems like a long time ago, this day is never easy. I still can’t forget the event that occurred on this day. It’s never easy to get over the loss of a loved one and even harder when you lose a parent at a younger age. What I have learnt is that life goes on. Each passing day helps ease the pain in the heart, though it never goes away entirely. It takes time, but you do manage to remember the person without bursting into tears. I am still not at that stage and I still cannot talk about my father without bursting into tears. But, I know I will be able to one day.

I came across this article and for some reason, it gave me some calm and peace.

    To end with, I would like to share two of my favorite quotes that always give me some comfort:

    “If tears could build a stairway,

    And memories a lane,

    I’d walk right up to heaven

    And bring you home again.”  ~ Unknown

    “Life is eternal, and love is immortal,
    and death is only a horizon;
    and a horizon is nothing save the limit of our sight.
    ~Rossiter Worthington Raymond”
